America the Beautiful Quarters Program presents a unique coins collection, commemorating the significant U.S. National Parks. America the Beautiful collection is a road trip through America’s most beautiful sites.Each time a different landmark appears on the coin reverse, providing a great collectible value of this significant series.The coin obverse is common - the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan, restored to bring out subtle details and the beauty of the original model. 2017 is the 8th year of releasing this popular series, presenting the following designs: Effigy Mounds National Monument (Iowa); Frederick Douglass National Historic Site (Washington, D.C.); Ozark National Scenic Riverways (Missouri); Ellis Island (Statue of Liberty National Monument) (New Jersey); and George Rogers Clark National Historical Park(Indiana).
1. 2017 Silver America the Beautiful ATB Iowa Effigy Mounds National Monument 5 oz Coin
This coin reminds of human-nature ancient connections and takes us back to the origins, in the Effigy Mounds National Park in Iowa, where traces of American Indians are still present. Designer Richard Master depicts a from-the-top view of mounds in the Marching Bear Group. Release date- February 6th, 2017.
